Vintage creamer and sugar bowl in peach lustre pearlised 'Fire king' pyrex glass, with swirling Surburbia pattern. Set made by American company Fire-King an Anchor Hocking brand of glassware similar to Pyrex. It was formerly made of low expansion borosilicate glass and ideal for oven use. Fire-King was originally produced in the 1940s for everyday use, rather than display. It was often sold in bags of flour as a promotional item or was given away at gas stations. Fire-King could also be purchased at local grocery and hardware stores. Lovely retro addition to teatime, unusual and sought after vintage pieces!
Previously owned and in good vintage condition, there is a very small piece of the lustre missing on the sugar bowl lid although barely visible and does not detract from the beauty of the piece.
Dimensions: creamer jug 8.5cm (H), diameter 8.5cm
